I love bringing positivity to a hotel.  My positive outlook helps keep the teams focus on the guest and doing whatever we can to always say yes.

A brief history

My Marriott career started at a Fairfield Inn back in April of 2001.  We were one of the training hotels for Connect U in Chantilly, Virgina. We would train all the new managers that were hired or promoted to Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.  We would train them on each department of the hotel.  Our team would make sure they were ready to go back to their hotel and develop a team that would take care of their guest and follow Marriott standards.

In 2005 I went to corporate Marriott and worked for the TownePlace Suites also in Chantilly and a training hotel for Connect U.  I helped bring the hotel out of red zone and bring the guest survey scores from 50% to 70% in just 3 months.  I stayed there until 2008 when I went to work for a Courtyard in Alexandria Virgina as an Assistant General Manager. I stayed in position there until I moved to Georgia in 2011.

Still with Corporate Marriott I worked with 3 more hotels until November 2014 when I joined the TownePlace Suites Newnan as an Opening Assistant General Manager with Paramount Hospitality Management. That is where my award-winning performance started to really take off.  I was promoted to General Manager in February 2016.  With my guidance and positive outlook, we brought the following awards to the two hotels I opened,

2015 -Platinum Circle Award-TownePlace Suites Newnan

2016 - Gold Circle Award- TownePlace Suites Newnan

2017 -Silver Circle Award-TownePlace Suites Newnan

       2018 - Silver Circle Award-Courtyard Lagrange

2019 - GM of the Year with Paramount Hospitality Management

My hotels always passed our Brand Standard Audits as well. With the last one in 2021 as a virtual BSA with a score of 100%.

TEAM-together everyone achieves more

Leadership

Running a succesful hotel is not being a good boss, it is about being a succesful leader.  Showing your team you just don't tell them what to do, you lead by example. You are there for them to help them with the 100 check ins at the front desk or helping housekeeping the next day with the 100 check outs.  Being there for the breakfast rush. Getting your hands dirty with the engineer when he/she needs a second pair of hands.  It is our jobs as Leaders to teach, train and inspire others.  Let me be "the light you need" to take your hotel to the next level.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Kristy on many projects, from daily operations to new openings.  Kristy has unmatched knowledgeable of Marriott’s systems and standards, which was an asset in our working relationship.  Kristy was able to impart this knowledge in a way that was consistently clear, simple and intelligible.  She has also created teams that are well-balanced and focused on the needs of the guests, the hotel’s profitability, and the wellbeing of the employees."

Details of the Recommendation: "I had the pleasure of working with Kristy for several years at the training location for TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Kristy always had a positive, can do attitude and was able to solve any problem presented to her. She was able to manage all of her associates and the financials of the property at the same time as making sure that the students received the best education possible.

This recommendation reflects my views alone and not necessarily those of Marriott or any of its brands."
